Hello,

Im looking for someone who like me is intrested in BMW (and porsche) and lives in germany. I drive Porsche 944 turbo (summertime) and BMW as a "all-year" car and im now intrested in exporting a BMW 318 cabrio to Sweden.

The thing is that many German dealers (and private) dont speak English and i dont speak German :) I would love to find someone that can help me find the perfect car so that i just cab send down a truck to pick it up or take a flight down and pick it up.

There must be someone kind BMW lover around that can help me?

Please send me a mail if this sounds like you! (of course i pay any expensives)

Best regards
John

take a look at www.mobile.de , there you can find much offers and when you have found a car you can ask here for someone who can help you and who lives near this dealer.

but what about the taxes when you send a car to sweden? is it cheaper than buiing it in sweden?

I look at mobile.de almost every day, bot the dealers dont reply to my english mails :´(

There is no taxes exporting a car to sweden. Its just the travel costs, exportplates and insurance.

The costs in germany is about 2500 Euro lower than in sweden so there is money to make :)

but think about the txes you have to pay at the border and also when you want to drive your car in sweden you have to pay for making a new letter of the car.

most dealers don´t answer e-mails. you have to phone them.

@fry: believe me, there is plenty of money to make by exporting german cars to other countries. we cannot imagine how expensive a bmw is elsewhere. i know people, who export MB to africa, they pay a lot of money, no matter how old the car is etc.

but however, if you like you can post your emails to the dealers here and we translate it for you and of course translate the reply

FRY> No taxes, sure it costs to get the car here, get new plates, registrations in sweden and so on but a nice 318 cabrio-95 costs about 10000 Euro in Germany and about 13000 in Sweden, so there is money to save.

I bought a Porsche 944 cabrio in south Germany in 2000. Saved some money byt the company i used for all the exportwork is no longer running, sadly.

OK so then i´ll call them instead. The thing is that i think its much easyer for a german speaking person to get a grip of the cars condition and so on. Maybe someone here can help me call some dealer when i find a car?

How is the prices in germany? Is all prices negotiable? Is it like in sweden that you mostly can get 10% of the price if you by the car cash?

ok, than it is a good deal to buy it here.
it´s not always cheaper to buy it here. take a look at www.ebay.com , BMW´s are sometimes very cheap in the USA.
